Welcome to CarBondale
Carbondale may be the most visually stunning spot in the Valley, with the pastoral ranch lands sitting in the shadow of Mt. Sopris and the Roaring Fork and Crystal rivers running through town. Carbondale was somewhat of a hippie town years ago, but has since become a hub for art, dining and culture. The Carbondale Council of Arts and Humanities along with the Chamber have done a great job at attracting top musical and artistic talent to town. The wide variety of restaurants are eclectic, fun and quite simply, some of the best throughout the entire Valley! Many Valley residents feel that six89, Phat Thai and Russets are some of the best restaurants not only in the Valley, but in the state. Also Redstone and Marble are just down the road and the stretch of Highway 133 that runs to these towns from Carbondale may be the prettiest drive in the state and gives you access to the Elk mountain range which offers endless hiking, camping and biking possibilities.
