Aspen and Snowmass have long been home to some of the great festivals of the world, but Basalt, Carbondale and Glenwood have become a Festival destination in their own right. Aspen/Snowmass’s Music Festivals, especially Jazz Aspen Snowmass that attract some of the best names in the business. Every year they consistently bring in Grammy Award winning and emerging talent that you usually only find in a big city. Snowmass also has a weekly concert series on the mountain that brings in great acts to a beautiful outdoor venue. What better way to enjoy live music than outside in the mountains with a picnic? Basalt, Carbondale and Glenwood also have a weekly music series in the summer that features both well known and emerging talent. All three towns have great park spaces that host these annual summer concerts and make for a great family outing.
